YubiHealth, a mental health wellness platform, announced the launch of its Equity Crowdfunding Campaign on Start Engine at https://www.startengine.com/yubihealth. This milestone is a major move for YubiHealth on its mission to empower people to live meaningful lives in the workplace and to end the stigma surrounding mental illness.
This news comes in the wake of many recent initiatives and accomplishments of the company, including:
“Having walked alongside family and friends in crisis, I have seen just how broken the healthcare system is,” says Rahul Goyal, Co-Founder and CEO of YubiHealth. “Our team is working hard to make quality care, prevention, and treatment accessible and easy to navigate for the user and the physician.”
Mental illness costs the U.S. $193.2 billion in lost earnings every year (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18463104/ ), and 40% of U.S. adults are currently struggling with mental health or substance abuse (Chief Learning Officer). Access to mental health care is a big problem. YubiHealth’s approach helps prevent illness and strengthens mental wellness without the limitations of traditional care.
“We saw something that was broken and needed to be fixed,” says Vivek Goel, Co-Founder and COO of Yubi Health. “Rather than treat the symptom, the answer lies in addressing the root cause.”
The Empwr app blends user feedback with AI technology to determine placement on the mental health journey and provide real-life action suggestions.
Getting this state-of-the-art mind and body wellness platform into the hands of the people who needed it most required a more accessible model than traditional mental health solutions.
“We ran an analysis on the entire mental health space,” says Goel, “and how it works from a large-scale perspective. We found that approaching employers was the simplest solution in breaking down barriers to access and stigma. In addition, offering the Empwr App as a piece of the benefit plan is provided at no-cost to employees and increases workplace productivity for the employer. A win-win.” Employers seeking an alternative to addressing the high cost of mental health issues in the workplace can contract directly with YubiHealth to expand their benefits offerings.
